About Us
Previously known as The Black Cow Pub, the new ‘Cow’ was reborn in December 2017 as a luxury boutique inn offering 12, all new, beautifully decorated and furnished guest rooms and bathrooms.
All rooms feature up to date technology with free wifi, and smart TV’s for work and pleasure. Thus providing one of the most unique places to stay in Derbyshire and for those looking for holidays in the Peak District.
Alongside the rooms, the property features a seafood dining restaurant and bar area, stripped back to reveal the heritage and character of the original 19c building.
Our rural and peaceful Dalbury Lees location also makes us an ideal base for corporate visitors to local industry as well as guests wanting to visit the wonderful Derbyshire and Peak District countryside.

No deposits required.
The Cow requires your card details for reservations of 6 or more. There will be no charge to the card provided when booking. Charges will only be made if the guest fails to arrive for their reservation or cancels with less than 24 hours notice. In this instance a charge of £15 per person will be made. If you would like to cancel your reservation with us & avoid all charges, please give the restaurant at least 24 hours notice. For further information please contact enquiries@cowdalbury.com
Dogs are welcome in our Bar & also in our ground floor bedrooms 1-6 for a charge of £20 per stay.
Yes, please advise when you make your reservation that you require a cot.
Yes we do, please advise of your dietary requirements upon booking.
Yes, we serve breakfast 7 days a week. Our new A La Carte menu is available for both residents & non-residents. Your table can be reserved upon booking your stay at The Cow.
An additional Z bed can be requested for £15 per night to create occupancy for 3 guests (2 adults & 1 under 12y/o) in rooms 2, 4 & 6. We cannot tolerate additional guests in the rooms without acknowledgement due to fire regulations.
