Each of our guest rooms are individual in shape and size as well as design, ranging from Victorian and Art Deco accents to the more modern New England and Shabby Chic styles.

The luxurious rooms offer locally made hand-crafted premium mattresses, wonderfully modern bathrooms and the sumptuous feel of pure 300ct Egyptian cotton bedding, smart TV’s, free Wi-Fi, coffee machines, intelligent software ‘open key’ door systems, room safes and mini bars, lightweight waffle bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries.

We are dog friendly, they are welcome in rooms 1 to 6 for an additional charge of £20.

How to book your group

Call The Cow on 01332 824297 and speak with a manager. They will confirm availability and prices. We will kindly request card details to secure all rooms, a preauthorisation of £1 will be taken at this point and refunded within approx. 7 days.

The full payment will be taken automatically from the card given, 48hours prior to your stay. If you would like to assign specific rooms for your guests, please send these details to enquiries@cowdalbury.com. If you require your guests to pay for their own rooms, we advise you ask them to call us directly to add their card details to the reservation, this will avoid your card automatically being charged 48 hours prior to the reservation.

Maximum room occupancy is 2 Adults per King Size Room and an additional Z bed can be requested for a charge to create occupancy for 3 guests (2 adults & 1 under 12y/o) in a Super King Room. We cannot tolerate additional guests in the rooms without acknowledgement due to fire regulations.

Checking In

Your room will be available normally from 3:00pm on the day of arrival, with check-in no later than 9:00pm. Check-out on the day of departure is before 11:00am.

If you require an early/late check-in or a late check-out please contact us directly by phone or email. All early/late check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability. Early/late check-in and late check-out will incur a £40 supplementary charge, please confirm this when making your booking.

Please note we cannot accept any check-in’s after 01:30am.

Room Information

We have a limited number of bedrooms that can accommodate additional beds. These beds are available by request and subject to availability. There is a surcharge of £40 per night for children aged up to 12 years old, this includes breakfast.

If you require an extra bed please contact our team who will be delighted to help you finalise these arrangements.

Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 10.30am |  6pm – 9pm

Friday: 7.30am – 10.30am |  5pm – 9pm

Saturday : 7.30am – 10.00am | 12pm – 9pm

Sunday : 7.30am – 10.00am | 12pm – 7pm

Dogs

Dogs are welcome in the bar area. Furthermore, Rooms 1-6 (located to the ground floor) welcome dogs and are all fitted with external doors leading onto a private patio area. Please note dogs are not permitted on the first floor. Dogs must not be left unattended in your room or vehicle on our premises, whilst you attend a wedding/event. You are politely asked to make us aware at the time of booking if a dog will be accompanying you during your stay with us; each dog is charged additionally at £20 per stay, dog beds and food can provided upon request. We ask that you please keep your dog off the bedding and make us aware if there are any ‘unfortunate accidents’. We kindly ask anyone who wishes to bring their dog into the main bar area that they keep their dog on a lead and under control at all times.

Parking & Smoking

All guests of the Inn including residents and non-residents are welcome to use the car park provided but do so at their own risk.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel. If you choose to smoke, please use the designated smoking area outside or on the terrace outside your room.

Door Locks & Key System

Key cards are issued when you check in to the hotel. Any physical keys you receive should be returned at the time of check out. Your key cards allow 24 hour access into the main hotel and your own room. It is your responsibility to ensure the safe keeping of these key cards throughout your stay. Failure to do so may result in a £5 charge being taken from the credit or debit card provided for replacement cards.

Please note that the images of our rooms are for guidance only as furnishings may move around, change or be replaced.

Damages / Breakages & Loss of Property

Please report any damages or breakages as soon as possible. Any damages or breakages are chargeable at our discretion on a replacement cost basis. We provide bathrobes in all of our rooms, also available to purchase at £40. Any charges that need to be added to your bill will be charged using the credit/debit card details provided.

Payments & Policies

Payments

When booking a room/s with us directly or through a booking agent we will be charging the credit/debit card that is provided to us in full.  In addition to this, we will be taking a pre-authorised payment of £1 which will be deducted from the customers card and returned to them in full within 7 days. Please note that all bookings need to be confirmed and all accounts settled 48 hours before arrival.

Advance Payments

If you would like to make a full payment prior to the date of a reservation this can be done directly by phone or email.

VAT

All pricing shown is VAT inclusive.

Reservations & Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to make your reservation or no longer need your reservation please inform us at least 48 hours in advance. Please be advised, cancellation after the 48 hours notice period will result in full payment for your booked stay being taken from the credit/debit card details provided.

Table Reservations

If you would like to reserve a table within our open plan dining bar, you can do this by simply clicking the “Book your table” button on the website. We have a policy to welcome everyone through our doors without need for too much forward planning.

Should you wish to visit us without a booking there may not be a table immediately available for you, however you can enjoy a drink at the bar whilst perusing our food menu ahead of securing your table. We will do our utmost to accommodate you as quickly as possible. Please do try to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
