When you visit our website/make a reservation with us or use our services at The Cow, Dalbury Lees (Cow Dalbury Limited) you are entering into an agreement with us and you accept our policies/terms and conditions. Your details will also be included within our mailing list, which we will use to communicate details of any promotions, forthcoming events or news we wish to share with you. Data

We collect data from you when you visit our website, make a reservation with us and when you visit our hotel. We do this either by phone, in person and/or when you book accommodation with us directly via our website or through a booking agent. Any data collected by booking.com is in accordance with the terms and conditions set by booking.com. We also collect data when you fill in our voluntary email feedback form if you choose complete and return this to us.

If you connect to our website via any social media websites we may collect basic information from you. By connecting with us via social media websites you are bound by their terms and conditions/privacy policies.

Data we have collected from you can be used by us for many different reason such as;

  • To create your reservation
  • To provide you with accommodation, food and beverage facilities and any other services we offer
  • To contact you regarding any promotions, offers or ‘Cow’ news
  • To assist you with any queries you may have
  • To improve our services
  • To pass on to the police and government authorities as requested by them, for example in cases of fraud and theft.
  • To store on our database
  • To personalise your visit to our website
  • To enable you the use of third party services at your request

We share details with The Cow Hotels Limited company as this is our parent company. Cow Hotels Limited is subject to confidentiality obligations and may only use your personal data as instructed by Cow Dalbury Limited and for no other reason.

If asked to do so by the Police or HMRC, we may share your data for the purposes of prevention and detection of crime as we are required to do so by law.

Cow Dalbury Limited, shares data when necessary to third parties to ensure we offer the best possible service to you. All third parties are obligated to abide by these terms and conditions/policies and cannot use your data for any other reason.

One of the third-party companies that work on our behalf collect data to enable us to see how we can best serve our guests. With this knowledge we are then able to carry out marketing campaigns to expand and improve the services we offer.

Keeping your personal data safe is our top priority and wherever possible we have the necessary safe guards in place. However, there are no guarantees that all internet transmissions are secure. It is for this reason that we cannot guarantee the complete security of any personal data that you transmit over the internet to us in the time lapse window that we do not have your personal data from the time you have sent your data.

Although we have safe guards in place to protect your data we cannot, however, be held liable for any loss you may encounter due to unauthorised access or loss of any data.

We store credit/debit card details when you make a reservation with us for a pre-authorisation and for a full payment.

All data that we have stored on you is accessible by you. To require access to this information you can do this by contacting us directly by email, enquires@cowdalbury.com. In order for us to process this request we will need to take a £10.00 payment as an admin fee as per the terms of the data protection act. You will receive this data within thirty days of us receiving this request.

If you would like to inform us of any changes that you think are relevant to us in order for us to communicate or provide you with a more suitable service than this can be done via email enquires@cowdalbury.com.

If for any reasons you would like to make any changes or stop us from using your data please contact us via email enquires@cowdalbury.com.

Please note that if you request us to stop using your data, this may result in the loss of our services to you. For that reason; we may no longer be able to meet your needs due to lack of data and consent.

Future changes to our business

We reserve the right to make changes to our business at any given time. This includes expanding, reducing or using our parent company (Cow Hotels Limited) to assist us with our business needs. In doing this it may become necessary to share or designate sole responsibility of this policy to a third party. Your data will only be used for the same reasons in which, it was originally intended, by this third party. This third party whether it be a new owner or our parent company will be obligated to abide by these terms and conditions/Privacy policy.

All data stored by us is stored for as long as necessary for us to provide you with the service we offer, for any business/legal reasons or to stay in accordance with laws, where applicable.

If you so wish, to unsubscribe from our mailing list please contact us via email enquires@cowdalbury.com. Note: By unsubscribing from our mailing list, this does not mean that your data will be automatically be removed from our database, but will preclude you from future email communications.

CCTV    

We have CCTV in our hotel for your safety and for the safety of our employees and to act as a deterrent against crime.

Wi-Fi access

Wi-Fi access is free to all guests and can be accessed by obtaining log in details from a member of staff. BT provides our Wi-Fi service.
